F-12-1B
Multi-Role Naval Fighter-Bomber, the thanks to its variable-sweep wings it can serve both as a Fighter and a Bomber.
Can outrun and outturn the F-8.
=== BACKSTORY ===
The F-12 entered development shortly after the F-8, although it was origanally supposed to be a naval variant of the F-8.
The problem was, the Navy wanted it to replace the F-2, F-4 and the B-2/A-3. Of course that was kind of what the F-8 was already But the F-8 was a compromise between them. The navy wanted no compromise. After we calmly told them it was PHYSICALLY IMPOSSIBLE we were given lots of money and told to "figure it out". So, after years of ZERO development issues and not going over budget even a little bit, we created the X-12, wich was then adopted as the F-12. The solution - variable sweep.
Thanks to its variable sweep wings the F-12 can perform as a Interceptor, Bomber and suprisingly - even as a dogfighter.
This variant is equiped with an additional 50mm autocannon and an extended canapy for an additional pilot.
===WARNING===
Extremely unstable near 0 degrees sweep
NEVER, EVER, EVER, GO BEYOND 0 DEGREES
