this is the lapana a88 supersonic jet fighter

history

The a88 was a supersonic jet fighter designed by lapana beginning in the 1950s and having its first test flight on march 27 1960 at, venota air force base in the northern province of the checkered republic. It served faithfully as a high speed, high maneuverable national defense aircraft. It was used heavily by the airforce against their communist neighbors, the bengoan regime in the 17 year war lasting from 1964 to 1981. It proved to be a formidable adversary to the inferior bengoan be-180s. It was not out matched until the bengoanan's made the be-190, which was much faster than the a88, but the a88 had maneuverable on its side, able to dodge the wer-12a30 air to air missiles, the most formidable at the time. When the checkered republic air force came out with the yen-a12-99 air to air missile, that was able to demolish the be-190 when an a88 got behind it. By the end of the war the checkered republic came out with a new and better jet fighter, with higher speed and maneuverability, the wergeo w-45 jet. The a88 remained in active service til june of 1999 when the final planes were moved out of front line service. In total 19,000 of these planes were produced, with 5,632 being shot down during the 17 year war.
