The name TOG stands for "The Old Gang" a group of British WWI tank designers. They thought WWII would be fought with trenches, so they designed a very long, tall and slow super heavy tank called the TOG I and TOG II. One of the II's still exists and can be visited. The TOGs had a thinner armor than other tanks to make them a bit lighter, were very slow, and had a great gun. It didnt see much action, but probably would have been useless in tank battles with Pz IVs and Tigers.
