Backstory:

Developed by Flyte Ltd. as a competitor for the LN-SAP-I Program in the late 1960s. The LN-SAP-I program requirements were:

20 kkg at most in weight
AviaTech SLa-11 engine
CATOBAR compatibility (or at least an arresting hook)
Comet and Viper missiles

Having been greenlit to have a prototype built, Flyte Ltd. Put together two prototypes. The H-B16 A and the H-B16 B. The A variant had smaller wings which decreased payload, so Flyte Ltd. Focused on the B variant.

Capable of carrier operations, the H-B16 B underwent several carrier tests.
