USS South-Carolina is the third ship of the class (also the odd ball) She was rushed so she had no rear guns She started construction at 1950 the outbreak of the koren war. She barely met combat her only major battle was the battle of Vietnam in 1963 but one week later after the battle she struck two mines one hit the front the other destroyed the rudder she was abandoned for about 3 weeks before a salvage mission was going to try to tow her back to port to be used for parts on the USS Montana but she was so heavily damaged that during towing she capsized and split in two Montana only got the turrets of south-Carolina but nothing else
