FT SAM, RIM-7 M
RIM-7 M Sea Sparrow
Funky Trees Surface-To-Air Missile Battery!
Faithful replica of the RIM-7 M Sea Sparrow missile, a short-range point defense system, commonly found on NATO ships, adapted directly from the Aim-7 Sparrow Air-To-Air missile. It is able to fire on its own and is controlled via a simple algorithm to calculate the probability of the missile hitting its target. No part of this missile is guided by gyros or in-game default missiles!!!.
AI usage
Download and save the aircraft
Spawn as hostile AI
Fly near it and explode :D
Player Usage
After spawning in, press Activate1 to enable manual launch control of the missiles.
Find an Air Target and press the Fire Weapons button (Alt key on PC). On mobile, even though the button to fire the missile will not light up, you can still press it and fire the missile.

Features and abilities
- Not guided by default in-game missile or gyro
- Improved fuse and reliable warhead detonation
- Automated launching sequence and authorization, able to be used by AI
- Manual override of auto-launch sequence
- Realistic replica of launch platform
- Highly accurate
- Impervious to Counter Measures
- Programmed to avoid being guided into the ground, makes the missile harder to defeat
Limitatons and problems
- The missile's performance may depend on the performance of your device, where a lower FPS may significantly effect the missile's performance.
- From time to time the smoke generator, a tiny hellfire missile where it's sole purpose is to generate smoke and nothing else, may fall out during violent maneuvers. This will not affect the performance of the missile what so ever!
- The missile has a hard time orienting itself when pointed straight up or down
- The manual override may cause problems if activated during a missile's flight, or after some missiles have been fired off
Real Life Description
The SEASPARROW Missile is a radar-guided, surface-to-air missile based on the Navy and Marine Corps AIM-7 Sparrow air-to-air missile. The SEASPARROW has a cylindrical body with four mid-body wings and four tail fins. The U.S. Navy employs the RIM-7 Missile aboard three ship classes (CVN, LHA, and LHD) using the MK 57 NATO SEASPARROW Missile System (NSSMS) and MK 29 Guided Missile Launching System (GMLS).
SEASPARROW is a short-range, semi-active homing missile that makes flight corrections via radar uplinks. The missile provides reliable ship self-defense capability against a variety of air and surface threats, including high-speed, low-altitude anti-ship cruise missiles (ASCMs). It is widely deployed by U.S., NATO, and other international partner navies.

Notes
There is honestly nothing very innovative about this build, just a quick convenient conversion of something I've already built into something that is hopefully fun for all ages. As you may have already noticed, I took my Aim7-M missile, gave it some visual updates, gave it folding fins, a new fuse, and a new and simpler guidance code, and called it a day. The launch algorithm is nothing more than an extremely crude estimation of how far the missile will travel in comparison to how far away the target is and will be. Anyway, have fun with it, and try not to blow up!

@Ku OK, thanks anyway
@llDeadboyll I could but most SLBM are just that, Ballistic Missiles; the Simpleplanes map is simply not big enough for that kind of missile to be useful since they usually have ranges of thousands of kms, and the sp map is at maximum 300 km in either direction. Not to mention i have no experience with building submarines.
@Ku So, could you make a SLBM with a similar guidance system? The missile would only be able to turn after a certain amount of time and have 2 to 3 stages. Any answer or help would be much appreciated.
@F8boa ofc it is possible, and yes you’d have to first disconnect all of the flight computers from the missile, save the launcher, then put it on ur own build, reconnect all the flight computers, and copy in the variables; not to mention this is over 600 parts by itself.
Is there a way to use it as a subassembly and if so, would I have to add all of the necessary variables myself? If so then that’s a little too complicated for me to work on during school.
@OkaNieba It essentially is XD
