Messerschmitt Me-609
Today I present to you...
The Messerschmitt Me-609
(also known as the Me-309 Zwilling)
A little Backstory
The project was initiated in response to a 1941 Reich Air Ministry requirement for a new Zerstörer (destroyer) to replace the Bf 110 in a minimum time and with a minimum of new parts. Messerschmitt's response was the Me 609, which would use the failed Me 309 project to form the basis of the new fighter.[1] The Me 609 would have joined the two Me 309 fuselages with a new centre wing section. Only the two inner wheels of the joined Me 309's main landing gears would have been used and would retract into the centre section. This resulted in an unusual four-wheel arrangement.[2] The pilot would have sat in a cockpit located in the port fuselage, with the starboard being smoothed over.
I decided to try and tackle this monstrosity simply because I thought it looks awesome, and I know there are similar aircraft such as the Twin-Mustang... but having just made the regular variant I thought I'd do something different.
Controls
AV Groups
AV1
will activate the two wing-mounted guns on the starboard wingAV2
will activate the Air-Air cannon on the port wingAV3
will activate the Air-Ground cannon on the central wingAV4
will drop the bomb on whomever or whatever you desire!
Flight Controls
- These are just standard. However, you will notice one the payload is disposed of, that the weight balance does indeed shift to slightly more nose heavy!

Now If all goes well, this build should finally allow for my little profile to blossom into a new stage of life... GOLD
So fingers crossed and I hope the algorithms do me a solid today
That all being said, there's only one last thing
I hope you enjoy

@Kaveman indeed, a 4 year (unplanned) hiatus and a lot has changed with the app hahah
@SkyFly Dang, only your second? It looks really good!
@Kaveman You’re spot on, I did realise that when doing it, but it’s only my second plane with a proper cockpit lol
I’m sure my skills shall hone soon enough! :)
Also I was looking at this, and I think the glass canopy is a bit too wide and a bit too tall. Not much, but it makes the plane look a little... strange? Idk, I think that's the only thing
@Kaveman
Nice.
@themouse
I WAS HERE BEFORE THE MOUSE!
