Shinano was an aircraft carrier built by the Imperial Japanese Navy (IJN) during World War II, the largest such built up to that time. Laid down in May 1940 as the third of the Yamato-class battleships, Shinano's partially complete hull was ordered to be converted to an aircraft carrier following Japan's disastrous loss of four of its original six fleet carriers at the Battle of Midway in mid-1942. The advanced state of her construction prevented her conversion into a fleet carrier, so the IJN decided to convert her into a carrier that supported other carriers.

@Graingy eh, we usually eat anything with rice anyway, it's like bread in a sense that it is carbs, and it soaks the fat quite well I guess? atleast theorising from how seasoned oily stew reacts to rice, coats them beautifully
You're really not missing out that much.
I mean, sure, bacon *can * be good with some things, but on its own its just fatty and oily and too damn heavy.
Good on sandwiches tho. Bacon on a bun on its own can be great. Also good with brussels sprouts, though the experience is diminished if the cook likes to mix in walnuts or whatever with them that look very similar to bacon bits at a glance, so you're not sure unless you take a good look if you just picked up a bacon bit with your fork or a nut.
Besides, bacon isn't healthy in the slightest.
