History (new)

The F.T.R.C. 150 was originally designed as an anti ship/anti shipping weapon, able to operate on carriers. As better options for this role presented themselves, the project was put on hold, as there was no need to continue development. 3 prototypes had already been finished though, and it was decided after a while that they’d be used as weapon testbeds, as RNP had begun to produce even more various weapons with specific roles, and it seemed fit to do so. (Also, money.) After a bit of modifications, all 3 prototypes would begin a short testing phase, and then, almost immediately after, begin testing various weapon and flight systems themselves, showing the capabilities and downsides of the many new technologies produced during this time period. Their short, chubby like appearance, and important role caused attachments to grow towards them from their crews, and as a result, they are still actively used today in the 21st century, almost 5 decades later, (with numerous upgrades of course) performing as intended. Overall, the F.T.R.C. 150 has proved to be a valuable asset, and has paved the way for many RNP aircraft, and weapon systems alike.

Notes

-Tried to stay as close to the original as possible with this, which explains the weird design choices.
This was painful.

-Although this is a 5k special, I don’t really think I put as much effort in as I usually would. Especially with the cockpit, which to be fair, I never bother with.

-The history/how it’s presented might not correlate, but once again, staying close to the original

-also very “rushed”
