Autogyro
Ag1 = canopy
Ag2 = prerotor
Throttle = throttle
VTOL = collective
VR capable? I hope so. Cockpit info includes altitude, speed, and most importantly RPM. Also, RPM turns red within 100 RPM of overspeed.
Prerotor is not necessary, but I would totally reccomend it to reach the higher RPM. Then you can just use the speed to maintain RPMs.
It takes getting used to but is very satsifying to fly when it clicks. Maintaining speed is crucial to maintaining lift, and therefore altitude. Many people wrongly assume that because it is helicopter-like, you can hover. This is wrong.
The energy of the craft goes from the gas to the propeller, which then translates to forward momentum, which is transfered to the rotor's RPM, which is used to maintain altitude(and of course, the momentum is also maintained).

Are you supposed to be able to gain altitude without the pre-rotor? You say "forward momentum, which is transferred to the rotor's RPM, which is used to maintain altitude," but I can't seem to maintain or gain altitude unless I use it like a helicopter with pre-rotor to get the RPM's up, then dispel that pre-rotor energy by increasing collective.
Edit: This auto gyro never worked properly. Here’s a really good working one. AlienIndustries AL-06 Tipaklong
@MrCOPTY ok, this was a while ago but I think I added pre-rotor on purpose
@UltraLight Next Time U Make Auto-Gyro U Should Disable Pre-Rotor Torque Using XML Editor (Overload).
@UltraLight lol, This Plane Inspired Me To Make My Own "Blue Auto-Gyro" With Full Engine Start-Up Model And Navigation System.
@UltraLight if you want to get curated don't forget to put a vr tag on
Reminds me of the adopt me helicopter I saw while scrolling through roblox games
@UltraLight it was no waste of time, it's my job on this site after all
@V yeah I didnt check it with anything but high phys, thats probably it. Sorry to waste ur time on this lol
@Atoka220 well yes, they require very little takeoff and almkst lo landing distance IRL, in fact it is possible to hover land this one. But to sustain flight, you will need to maintain speed
@Atoka220 inertia is a property of matter
I can't seem to get it off the ground, let alone stay in the air. Did you test it with low physics?
Regarding speed, gyros can actually fly very slowly
Once out on the airfield i saw one almost hovering
But to be honest I have no idea how it's possible, as indeed they need speed/airflow to turn the rotor lol
@V ok no problem
@UltraLight I did not look at it and I will be busy today. So perhaps tomorrow I can look at it
@V thanks! By the way jamesPlanesii said he couldn't get this one curated but he said it should be... if you could check that out it'd be amazing
@OrderlyHippo haha stop using the prerotor
I'll have a look at it hopefully today
I need a video demo/tutorial. This is so tricky to fly. It’ll just spin no matter what I do
