Introduction

The Airbus A321 is a twin engine short to medium range aircraft developed by Airbus Industries in Europe, and is an extended version of the Airbus A320. It is the largest member of the A320 family of aircraft. Compared with the A320, it has 24% more seats and 40% more space, slightly expanded wing area, two emergency exits added at the front and rear of the wings, reinforced landing gear, and uses high thrust CFM56 and V2500 engines. If it is a high-density cabin layout, it can accommodate up to 220 passengers.

The Airbus A321 began its construction plan on November 24, 1989, and made its maiden flight on March 11, 1993 with the V2530 engine. In May of the same year, it flew with the CFM56 engine. On March 18, 1994, the Airbus A321 aircraft began service with Lufthansa. On the same day, the first A321 model equipped with CFM56 engine was delivered to Italian Airlines. The A321 model has received a total of 649 orders and 371 have been delivered.
The Airbus A321 is the largest member of the A320 family of aircraft in terms of volume and the most cost-effective seat mile model among all single aisle aircraft. Its efficiency is even as high as that of wide body aircraft, bringing a new dimension to profitability. Compared with the A320, the A321 is the most profitable single aisle aircraft series in the world, with a fuselage length of 6.94 meters, a wing front length of 4.27 meters, and a wing rear length of 2.67 meters. The emergency exit above the wing has been moved to the extended section of the fuselage, thereby adding two emergency exits. Improved flaps, landing gear, and installed an improved low-speed control system. Added air conditioning system, pressurization system, and cargo fire extinguishing system, etc.
