U.S.S. F414 Turbofan Engine
History
The F414 engine is based on GE's F404 and F412, so it was once called the Type II thrust growth type of the F404.
Development began in 1991.
The first test drive took place on May 20, 1993.
The first test flight was planned for December 1995.
The first production engine was finalized and delivered in 1998.
