The Isuzu Elf is a Japanese medium commercial cargo vehicle manufactured by Isuzu. The truck has been under construction since 1959 and is known outside Japan as the N-series. It was originally produced for the market of Japan, Asian countries and Australia. In the latter, including from local components, it has been assembled since the 1970s. Since the early 1980s, the truck has been distributed in the United States (under the Chevrolet and GMC brand, as the W-series), as well as as the Isuzu N-series.
