As Russian Nuclear bombers swarmed over Yeager, the YAF decided it was time for a new interceptor. This was to be the SparrowHawk. This high speed aircraft was then developed into the GR.1, a multirole aircraft with ground attack capability. This aircraft carries the dark red trim of 32 Sqn, and is configured for light anti vehicle missions.
