The Japanese B5N "Kate" bomber is a long-range, large-capacity anti-ship attack aircraft. It was Japan's most successful bomber in World War II. It is a carrier-based attack aircraft developed by the old Japanese Imperial Navy in the late 1930s. Since the old Japanese Navy let Nakajima and Mitsubishi companies bid for this aircraft contract during development, and finally adopted it at the same time, there are two types of aircraft of this type. Different specifications exist, and the Nakajima-made number is B5N, but generally speaking, this type of aircraft mostly refers to the Nakajima-made Type 97 carrier-based attack aircraft with relatively large output. It played a very important role in the attack on Pearl Harbor. The B5N "Kate" bomber is Japan's first-generation carrier-based bomber. Its overall design is more practical and its firepower is powerful. In the fierce naval battle, as a tactical aircraft, the B5N "Kate" bomber can not only be used for horizontal bombing, torpedo attack, but also for long-distance reconnaissance. It has therefore become one of the most famous aircraft types of the Japanese Navy.
