Auto Credit Based on Typhlosion130's J-54 Needle nose

This is mostly as good as the pitch will get for this plane. It shows the concepts i was talking about pretty well. To make this as maneuverable as some of the other planes in the tournament you will need to make it smaller and try to make the engine and other heavy compoments closer to the CoM, make it generally as light as possible, and use more wings. A lot more wings. The more main wings you have, the more stable your plane will be in the air and the more stable it is the more pitch control you can have while staying stable, which means even more manueverability. Basically make the plane as light and evenly weighted as possible, then start adding wings. Putting canards on the front of your plane can help with manueverability even more. Just try a few variations of this and figure out some of the finer points as well as what works and what doesnt, and just remember that it doesnt have to look like any typical plane at all, and you should be able to make some impressively fast planes. Also, i prefer to use VTOL engines as opposed to standard engines because of their near instant spool speed and easily changable CoT. Hope this helps :)
