The Santoni Vespaio is a nimble but also a bit sluggish SPAAG.Its 7.62mm Vulcan cannon could shred any type of plane, except if the plane found the SPAAG before.
Its reactive armour plates are a distinctive feature that made it get the name "Vespaio" (Hornetcomb) because the armour plates looked like them, and also because sometimes hornets liked to make their hive between the wheels.
It was built for a race between companies to provide the Italian army with a SPAAG.
Santoni and Alfa romeo won the contract and proceeded to build this.
The V.1 was really slow and vulnerable because of its low armour width.
The V.2,on the other hand, was fast but still really vulnerable for the same reason as the V.1
The V.3 changed everything, it was still neither slow nor fast, and had good enough armour.
Alfa Romeo made the engine, the crew periscope and the steering system.
The engine was an Alfa Romeo V8 225 hp, that wasn't really thirsty so it was good!
