This is the first craft that I built in Kerbal Space Program. This space plane also was the first of the XK series (Experimental Kerbalnautics) In KSP, the Shooting Star has a very good power to weight ratio, meaning it can reach mach 1 before reaching the end of the runway, not to mention actually become its namesake (in KSP, burning up in the atmosphere is a very real threat). The XK-1 can also make orbit, but only for a limited time due to the fact that it only has three jet engines (no rockets or RCS). In Simpleplanes however, The XK-1 has fully functioning "elevons" (one control surface acts as both an elevator AND aileron) and canards (rotating wing surfaces on the sides of the nose). The Shooting Star can easily reach mach 2 (speed tests below 10000 feet were around 1400 mph). WARNING no yaw control or air brakes!
