Dart Interceptor Mk II
"When I first made the Dart, it was the fastest thing in the sky. The Mark II means it stays that way." -Linda Weiss, engineer. The Dart Interceptor Mk II was an upgrade to the orginal Dart Interceptor, an emergency measure to counter the Helios Fighter. While far from stealthy, it certainly had the performance to not only keep up, but close the distance. More importantly, the Dart included a Mk 81 multi-band radar that can allow the Dart to detect the Helios from the sides and rear. Teams of Darts can be employed in order to detect and destroy Helios fighters. The first success occured over Rodmantown, when the defected Olympian Lt. Cleo Riga shot down a Helios fighter in a dogfight. Due to his knowledge and experience with the Helios Fighter, he was able to ambush the formation, shooting down both aircraft. He passed this knowledge onto the Pilotmairo Air Force, who developed tactics to engage them. Unlike most Pilotmario Air Force aircraft, they retain their bare-metal finish which is simply lacquered in order to make it faster.
