One of the most unusual cars in auto-racing history, the Chaparral 2J debuted in the 1970 Can-Am Challenge Cup, and was designed to be as close to the ground as possible. To do so, 2 giant fans powered by a snowmobile engine were placed in the rear, in order to suck air and stick the car to the ground. This distinct feature earned the car nicknames like 'the sucker car' or 'the vaccuum cleaner'.

@Ian1231100 The fans gave it tremendous cornering speeds, thus it only competed in one race.
@ThunderscreechEngineering But sadly it got banned.
@Ian1231100 This has always been one of my favorites, mainly because the idea was ridiculous, and it actually worked.
