The S-106 Delta Interceptor introduced in 1964

Development History And Introduction

Made to be a successor of the all famous S-102 Delta Bow or "Dow", the S-106 features a massive improvement and upgrade over its predecessor. Featuring a new radar capable of scanning over 35 miles, it's also capable of detecting enemy with an IR camera.

It's missile were the same missile used in the S-102, the Red Baron since it was good enough at reaching it's max range. The firing delay was decreased to 0.5 seconds in order to maximize the damage done to enemy formations.
This factor, along with its capability to cruise at around mach 2, and a quick acceleration,made the aircraft earned its nickname as the "Super Interceptor" by aviation enthusiast.
