Saab JA 37 Viggen
Continuing on the Saab jet series, here is the Viggen. The design itself took me half a day, but getting the rear landing gear right took me like 8h spread over 3 days. And it is still really sensitive...Therefore please follow the instructions :
TAKE-OFF :
-Don't go full throttle, keep it at 50%, and fully pitch up. Otherwise the stress on the landing gear will make it go haywire.
-Usual control for landing gear will action the front wheel. VTOL fully up to fold the rear wheels in, then deactivate AG8, activate AG7, keep VTOL fully up for 3sec and deactivate AG7.
LANDING :
-Usual control to deploy front wheel. Make sure your VTOL control is at 0. Activate AG7 for 3sec, then AG8, wait for 4 more seconds and deactivate both.
-Land as gently as possible, preferrably below 150mph, the tricky part is that you'll lose lift around 135. Use the airbrakes, but since they are below the body they tend to make you pitch down so you'll need to compensate by pulling a bit on the yoke. Release the brake at touch down and re-apply once the rear wheels are on the ground.
WEAPONS:
-AG1: 4x Guardian missiles (making up for the Sidewinder missiles)
-AG2: 2x Interceptor (for the Sparrow missiles)
Gun as no AG, will simply fire anytime.
I'm so glad the Gripen has the standard rear jet landing gear...

Synthex4060, this impressive build inspired me to build my own version. You have managed to elegantly capture the Viggen with fewer parts, even after my efforts, I still love this build!
Thank you all for your kind words :)
One of my favorites! Nice details!
love this plane like the RAFALE but single engined
Really nice work especially with the main gear
Looks awesome!
