I'm now responsible for both the first and second M36s on the site, this is my greatest ever accomplishment
(US Army version out here)
Background
- (wiki)
The M36 tank destroyer, formally 90 mm Gun Motor Carriage, M36, was an American tank destroyer used during World War II. The M36 combined the hull of the M10 tank destroyer, which used the M4 Sherman's reliable chassis and drivetrain combined with sloped armor, and a new turret mounting the 90 mm gun M3. Conceived in 1943, the M36 first served in combat in Europe in October 1944, where it partially replaced the M10 tank destroyer. It also saw use in the Korean War, where it was able to defeat any of the Soviet tanks used in that conflict. Some were supplied to South Korea as part of the Military Assistance Program and served for years, as did re-engined examples found in Yugoslavia, which operated into the 1990s. Two remained in service with the Republic of China Army at least until 2001. - This M36 is based off of a French Jackson of the Régiment Blindé Colonial d’Extrême Orient, (or more a hybrid between the French Jackson in WT and "Puma") and notably has a .30 cal machine gun in addition to the standard AA .50 cal. It also uses the M3A1 90mm rather than the M3. No cool logo because I’m bad at building

Notes/credits
(huge credit goes to all of these people)
- The M2 Browning is made by uselessuser151
- Turret is from this Super Hellcat by Zippy6
- Original hull and aiming system from this M4A3 Sherman by MisterT
- I decided it'd be cool to redo my original M36B2, but I ended up making 4 separate variants of it cause why not. Others will be out soon
- This post will serve as a “hub” for any other export/non American Jacksons I make, (as will the American post be for other American variants/skins) so pop in every once in a while and there m i g h t be a new version :)
- And just as a general warning these have basically no traction at all. tried fixing it but it just messes up the tracks.
- Aaaaaaaand that's basically it.
Enjoy!

@TemporaryReplacement OMG I forgor that the 13 had the oscillating turret.
@TateNT34 I'm focusing on other things right now, but if I ever get back into tank building, then maybe lol. (The oscillating turret on the AMX seems like the thing of nightmares to actually build and make work)
You should try to make an AMX 13 or super sherman
@Potatu definitely could’ve gone worse then, lol
@TemporaryReplacement ye, probably, It flew for a few seconds, then it nosedived
@Potatu I’d imagine the reason it didn’t fly has to do with the fact that it’s a tank lol
I tried putting wings and engine on this tank, it did not fly 😭
@TheUltimatePlaneLover I’ll try >:)
@TemporaryReplacement If it succeeds pls make a video, that would be hilarious lol
@TheUltimatePlaneLover bouta give each wheel a braking force of 500 just to see this lol
@TemporaryReplacement Real lol
Also gonna say that when he brakes he goes all the way up on his front sprockets for some time like that one move MJ does XD
@TheUltimatePlaneLover lol, and every time the gun fires it makes a super loud hee hee sound
@TemporaryReplacement
New headcanon: M36B2 makes a "hee hee" sound every time he turns his turret
@TheUltimatePlaneLover Thanks lol, he takes one trip to France and this is what happens...
It's a tank destroyer, better known as Michael Jackson!
But French????
Either way great build
@TemporaryReplacement thanks
@Zhixunlin23 lol, sure!
@TemporaryReplacement hey BTW can you tag on every single tank you make?
