Damselfly
The Damselfly is a fictional search and rescue seaplane with VTOL capabilities.
AG1 for lights.
AG8 for gyroscope (turn on when hovering, turn off when flying)
VTOL middle for hover, VTOL down for forward, VTOL up for reverse (slowing down).
To enter forward flight from a hover, slowly move the VTOL slider down while pitching up, then deactivate AG8.
To enter a hover from forward flight, activate AG8, put VTOL all the way up until you lose enough speed, then put VTOL in the middle.
History:
The Damselfly was produced in 2036 as a first responder amid growing shipwreck rates. It was well suited for the role, as its VTOL capabilities allowed it to land right next to a target, and its cockpit allowed good visibility. The aircraft was reasonably popular with the Coast Guard, but also with civilians, and 2,430 were built.
