Shield of the royal navy

The Type 45, known as the Defender Class Destroyer is a Fleet Air Defense Guided Missile Destroyer built and used by the Batanian Royal Navy built from 2004-2015. The class is composed of 18 ships from D-119 to D-136. Defender is armed with the standard Type 55B VLS, mounting two 48 cell blocks side by side. While these should be capable of mounting surface attack/anti ship missiles, usually they are kept exclusively filled with the Asserter series Air defense missile. The defenders are also capable of being armed with up to 4, 4 4 tube launchers mounting the Arrow Land attack/Anti ship missile. In 2022, Several Upgrades and adjustments were made to the ships, including the removal of the tube launchers.
As of 2025, all Defenders are still in active service with the Batanian royal navy. There are plans for the future Attacker class Destroyers, A new class of ships that will supplement and eventually replace the Defenders.
