INTRODUCTION
The M116 MRAAPC (Multirole Amphibious Armored Personnel Carrier) is a Multirole Armored Personnel Carrier built by United Defense industries specifically for the Wright Isles Defense Forces and Marine Corps and is currently for export for international customers.

ORIGINS

A NATION IN NEED

With the retirement of the last M113 APCs back in 12/7/2001 from service, the WIDF is looking for an affordable APC that is amphibious. The United States has offered the AAV or the Amphibious Assault Vehicle but due to the horrors of IEDs being spread to the WIDF Top Brass, To top it all a survey conducted by the MoD revealed that 70% of civilians wanted the UDI or the ADI to develop an APC capable to shrug off IEDs and even tank rounds ranging from 100mm to 120mm. A competition was held and the award goes to the UDI for their design being based off from Jundroo Defense Co.’s Jackhammer AFV. Testing of the prototype commenced in 5/8/2003 in White Sands Testing Grounds in Cleveland, the tests revealed that it can go amphibious with a sluggish speeds of 7mph and can carry up to 9 troops with an additional 10 for the gunner. The APC is a good gun platform being able to carry a wide range of HMGs and LMGs including the famous Browning M2.

A typical M116 Costs only 2m Dollars, an affordable APC that even broke countries can purchase and also an additional 5k dollars is added up for modifications including Kontakt 5 ERA or Chobham Non-Reactive Armor

SUCCESS IN THE CIVILIAN AND LAW ENFORCEMENT MARKET

Not only did the M116 proved successful in the arms market but the M116 has proved itself in the world of Law Enforcement. The Kensington State Police Department bought 18 million dollars worth of the M116 APC to replace the older tracked M113 APC back in 12/14/2010. The Bank of the Wright Isles has also bought 6 M116 APCs to replace its fleet of vulnerable money vans that are being destroyed by only 1 RPG round when hit. It has proven itself during the failed attempt by a group related to Mexican drug cartels to steal over 6 million dollars worth of gold and paper cash, the APC was attacked in 6th Gardner Street while en-route to Cleveland Bankers Inc. Bank in Kensington. The APC took at least 1 round of a RPG-7 and some 102 rounds of 7.62mm rounds, all crew survived without injuries.

POTENTIAL REPLACEMENTS
On 7/8/2013, UDI announced to stop production of the M116 APC by 2030 and will be replaced by a new APC that is capable to conduct the M116s mission. On 1/8/2014, UDI announces to work with Elbit Systems to develop an APC/AFV capable of carrying a 30mm Mauser MK 30/2. Some experiments are being worked on to make the successor of the M116 capable of carrying ATGMs to fend itself off from tanks to low-flying helicopters
