Aquavion Skyclipper-REMASTERED
The Aquavion Skyclipper was a mid-late 1940s military aircraft from Aquavion. It was the last aircraft in its fleet to have its formerly iconic square-wing shape, and the first to have a closed cockpit.
Development
The Skyclipper's development began after talks of an aircraft with supercharged engines were authorised. Development began, albeit with slow progress, in 1935, and continued until 1939, with the first Skyclipper F.101s entering service with the start of the Great War of Maywar. The F.151 and F.201 were entered into the air force in 1941 and 1944 respectively.
Design
As previously mentioned, the Skyclipper was the first aircraft from Aquavion to have a closed cockpit, and the last to have a quadrilateral wing shape. The closed cockpit allowed for high cruising speeds, and for the pilot to have increased concentration, especially at high altitudes, with the new pressurised technology.
