The EK-R4N-0 biplane was the prototype and only major model of the archaic fighter used by the Krakabloan Air Defense during the years leading up to and through the Three Year’s War. Upvotes are much appreciated!

Design History:

In 2368 G.T., the Krakabloan leadership gave a contest for who could build a new and dependable fighter for their lagging air force. While several companies produced their own fighters with better overall performance, the K.A.D. liked the EK-R4N’s amphibious capabilities and low-speed handling. Unusual in multiple design features including four tail booms, a four-cylinder engine that output 850 horsepower, pusher prop configuration requiring the top wing to be build around the engine, and ‘suspended’ floats that housed the rear landing gear, it certainly was a headache for ground crews. Although newer models were built and test flown, the prototype version remained the sole production type.

Operational History:

Outdated and outmatched during the Three Year’s War, it was found to be somewhat underpowered and substantially slower than the P4-RS monoplanes it was fighting. It was also found by several unfortunate pilots that the fuselage could be relatively easily severed from the wings by flak or well-placed machine gun fire. After the introduction of B1-PN biplanes to the war, remaining EK-R4N-0s were set in patrols with UG-1Y seaplanes. Armament consisted of two .303 caliber machine guns in the wing roots and optional underwing pylons.

Notes:

• The landing gear fold out in flight.
• Stall of ~70 mph with flaps, no throttle.
• I originally used the new levers but substituted them for the old ones so VR users could use the aircraft without STEAM.
• Top speed of 235 mph.

This thing gave me such a headache to design. I know this sounds like upvote begging and while it kind of is, please at least consider checking it out in-game and then coming back to decide if it’s worth upvoting.
