Sokarev NU-60A

This is a remake of my first plane, the Sokarev NU-60. This remaster is pretty good, I’d say, since it’s built from the ground up. A lot of inspiration for this version came from DrMinh’s MiG-17F. Most notably the armament, canopy (which I got from Dpdfuzz, so credit to you as well!) It has some decent maneuverability, the armament is pretty standard for the 50s era aircraft and yeah, that’s it. I plan to make 2 other versions, a naval variant and a modernized variant to spice it up. Onto the obligatory history behind it. Commisioned in 1949 by the Alaskan Air Force, the Sokarev Aero NU-60 is a fighter aircraft built for air superiority. The designer, Alexei Korskav, was given a patent for the aircraft in 1952, which he sold to the Alaskan Government. The fighter served with the Alaskan Air Force until the late 60s, when it was replaced with American-built F-4 and F-5 fighters. During that time, it was rearmed with JJ-40m missiles and given external fuel tanks for increased longevity. This model represents the first to enter service in 1954
