The DFA-03 Dopp is the Principality of Zeon's only atmospheric fighter aircraft during the One Year War. It first appeared in the anime series Mobile Suit Gundam and Mobile Suit Gundam: The 08th MS Team. Notable pilots include Garma Zabi and Norris Packard.
An atmospheric fighter jet built by Zeon for the invasion of the Earth. It was said that Zeon engineers at the time did not have the development technology of atmospheric fighters, so it was developed by computer simulation, and they forced them to fly by equipping them with a large thrust engine and a large number of apogee motors. Thanks to that, the Dopp's maneuverability is high, but its cruising range is short. The Dopp can remain airborne even if a wing is severely damaged, as seen when RX-78-2 Gundam cut off a wing from Garma Zabi's Dopp. Its cockpit is built in consideration of visibility during combat under Minovsky particles dispersion.

Armaments30mm 6-tube Missile Launcher:
The 30mm missiles are the only viable anti-MS weapons on the aircraft (as the 20mm Vulcan rounds' penetration capability was close to none).
20mm Vulcan Gun:
The Dopp Fighter mounts two 20mm Vulcans in the same modules as the missile launchers. While it can hardly penetrate MS armor, the weapon is still useful to ward off advancing enemies, shoot down missiles, or hit other light-armored, fast moving targets like helicopters.
History:
The Dopp was introduced as part of Zeon's Earth invasion force in the early days of the One Year War, serving as the main fighter jet of Zeon's air force to support and protect their mobile suits from aerial attacks.
