The Messerschmitt P.1045A was meant as an interceptor, using its great speed and agility to take out Alloed bombers. It could also be used as a ground-attack aircraft. It was armed with six hardpoints and four MG20 machine guns in the wing roots. It had a crew of two (pilot and weapons-officer/navigator). It could reach a top speed of around 800 miles per hour and a maximum ceiling of around 60,000 feet. The aircraft featured ejector seats for the crew, as well as air masks to keep air flowing to the crews lungs.
