Brief Information
The Oshira M41A Hanyuu (namesake Hanyuu Furude from When They Cry series, MAI designation: Shiranui, namesake IJN Shiranui) is a tandem-seat, twin-engine attack and counter-insurgency aircraft, mainly for anti-tank and close air support missions, first to sport contra-rotating propellers on a attack aircraft. Originally the Poyasakai GACI.169/A-41 Shiranui, she entered service with the allied forces (the Armed Cross faction), and sought action in combat as a ground-attack and anti-tank fighter-bomber. Some called her "the Flying Tank" as in one battle, she was armed with one 150mm HAU-40 howitzer pod, and two HAU-6 cannons mounted on the nose, primarily used for ground-attack usage.
During her combat times, she successfully annihilated every enemy trench within the 1978 Loscad Baphometian Conflict (part of Phase Three of the Late Crusades), bombed almost every invaded area in West Fabella, then became a Honor Squadron munition in the Final Phase of the Late Crusades (1985-1989).
The GACI.169's airframe was passed onto Oshira Aerospace in 1988 as the A-41 became obsolete, then Oshira decided to refine the Shiranui as the M41.
She then was named after Hanyuu Furude in 2008, as part of the naming system introduced by Oshira, alongside the M34 Takano (Poyasakai A.58), and the M50 Satoko (Matsuzaka Ma-210), making them the first three to be part of the Higurashi Series aircraft.
A redesigned variant, the Hanyuu Kai is currently in development since 2017.
Development
The GACI line of Poyasakai's ground attack aircraft are specialized airframes coming from the A series turboprop aircraft. GACI.139, first of the GACI line became Karya's primary attack fighters on par with Bragaut's FG.6 and FG.10 ground attack fighters, until the end of the First Phase of the Late Crusades.
During the 1960s, other air forces were in need to replace the older ones; thus PoiyaYudatsi, under Poyasakai's supervision helped start the GACI.16X program. To achieve added versatility, Karyan engine company Tchesal offered them the TPC-30 contra-rotating engine, for faster speed, and better maintenance options. Matsuzaka also worked on the HAU-40 howitzer cannon pod for use in anti-tank missions, for Poyasakai's GACI.16X attack aircraft. Within the MAI standards, she passed as the GACI.169 Shiranui (A-41 in export service), and began to serve in the Allied forces.
A mid-wing, cruciform tail, tricycle landing-gear and wing-mounted engines with four constant-speed propellers, she achieved combat status as she sought combat action in 1975 as the Third Phase Crusades took place then so on; as a ground-attack fighter, reconnaisance aircraft, escort fighter, and piloted loitering muntion (Honor Squadron, in Fabella).
In 1988, PoiyaYudatsi (with Poyasakai) announced that they will pass the A-41 manufacturing process to Arsean aerospace company Oshira, to be built as the M41. The M41 entered service in 1993 (post crusade era, pre-Terror War) with the allied forces once again, soon to replace older ones. Newer features include support for wider range of AGMs, a better bombsight, and improved avionics with fly-by-wire support.
M41A (Attack)
