This large scout airship has a top speed of under 40 mph. It is the first in a series of battle airships.
Instructions Airship: Throttle up and use VTOL to take off (use pitch, roll, and yaw) to help control in addition to prop adjustment.
Instruction Airplane: Take airship to a few thousand feet and level off, press 8 to lock controls on airship and 2 to release plane. When landing on airship, control speed with air brakes (linked to landing gear).
Instructions Main Gun: Unlock with 4 and if you airship is level you can lock the ship controls with 8 and use the gun.
Have fun and try your best for a night landing.

I just made a mobile friendly airship that you can check out. You can set wing controls to an action group. 8 is always on, so you lock wing controls by un selecting it. @Swiftsure
