The W-9 Wintefox, went into production in early 1942 as a new fighter to the Kingdom of Hungary. It was made as a counter to the new Mig-7A turboprop fighter. The W-9 became the backbone of the hungarian aviation in the early 1940s before the arival of the jet era.
