About Furwings

FurWings is a story set in the late 2020 to early 2030s. It is based on and inspired by the Ace Combat Franchise and Project Wingman. You can create your own character, which is a anthropomorphic animal of your type, and take part in the story behind the world of FurWings. You have a wide choice of aircraft from the 60s to concept aircraft for the current and next generation to upgrade and customize!

Challenge

There is no reward except participating in this fun challenge. Just create a character and build a replica aircraft, or design your own, and give it nice detailing and livery. Also, write a backstory for your character that will give a more in depth story. Your rules and requirements are down below.

Prolouge Story

Cold War
Year was 1947 and the Second World War ended a few years ago, tensions rose once again. But this time it was Veredalia and Loskania, but this hasn't resulted in the world ending several times like in real life. This was more of a technological and military race of the two superpowers. Although they had several skirmishes during this period, it has resulted in minimal casualties but no declaration of war from either side. In fact, both countries have signed treaties that prevents them from using nuclear weapons or the mass production of them. From that until Loskania reformed its government in 1991 to grow into its new economy.

Mid to post CW
Other than the Cold War, during the middle of that period there were tensions rising on the Lurasian continent. The country of Yakistan and its government were i the midst of a civil war which lead to a dictatorship in place after their war. This caused many security issues for military information that was classified, which Yakistan used to develop their own or make an exact copy of foreign equipment. Many countries came together and after 1991 when Loskania reformed it government, put sanctions against Yakistan, along with other major countries.

Post CW to 2027
Only one major conflit has happened, 1992 started the Desert War on the Saboian Continent and Saboa Islands when a dictator and his army stormed through and took the majority of the continent's land and resources. This resulted in the largest coalition force to be seen that planned the whole campaign to push them out of held territory. The war lasted to 1997 in coalition victory. It has been 33 years since the last major war the world has seen...

Present
Tensions rose once again... but nobody was prepared for the scale of the war that was about to start.

Country Selection

NOTE: There are more countries than this, these are the major countries that will be involved in the story I am creating, and play a big role.

-Veredalia
A country with similarities with the United States, but its geography/climate is more of a mix with Colombia, Puerto Rico, and parts of Sub-Saharan Africa. Its government and economy functions the same as the US. The population is a combination of all other country species, but more of with African predator animals. Veredalia's Military is the most advanced military in terms of technology and trained population enlisted.

-Loskania
The Russian equivalent in FurWings, with a more wooded/forested and mountainous terrain with colder climates in the northern parts of the country. Their government was used to be socialist prior to 1991, when they reformed into a democracy. Unlike Russia, Loskania is much less corrupted and economy is stable. Their population is made up of woodland animals with mythical animals from Native American folklore. Their military is on par with Veredalia in terms of tech and trained enlisted personnel.

-Yakistan
The equivalent of China and North Korea into one country, their economy and government are very corrupted and militaristic to the extreme. But, it is a very strong country that will not stop at anything to stretch its influence on its continent and her neighbors. The military is made up of 'licensed' built equipment and domestically built equipment (Mostly Russian & Chinese equipment). The population is made up of animals from Asian regions with their mythical animals.

-Saboa & Saboian Islands
Ruled under as a Federation, Saboa is a country that unified its countries into one 'mega' country. The islands are rich in resources on land and around the coast, and involved in large flying boats (Dubbed as Airships on FurWings lore.) their population is a mix of Oceanic, and Australian animals. Their military has been modernizing and has been catching up to Loskania and Veredalia. Country is similar to Middle Eastern countries in geography.

-Asami
A large island nation off the coast of the Veredalian continent and near the Saboian coast, It is regarded as 'The Fox Nation' due to the population comprised of mostly fox species. Their Government is ran as a Democracy and economy is stable with the export of advanced hardware. Their military is Self Defense for the most part, but are trained for other scenarios, their navy is exceptionally potent with centuries of experience. Country is Similar to Japan with influence with other nations.

-Grenva
A country based on Nordic countries like Denmark and Sweden. Their government is ran by a Social Democracy. Their population is made up of animals similar to Loskania's, but more on with Avian species and mythical birds. Their military is similar to Sweden's, small but shouldn't be messed around with.

Challenge Requirements

-Your character and aircraft must fit with what country you have chosen.

-Character backstory should be written with at least 1.5 paragraphs or 2 paragraphs.

-Character age shall be at least 25 years in age or older. (Average age for people in the air force with pilot training.)

-Max entries for each user is 6 (one for each country)

Aircraft Requirements (replica and fictional)

-Aircraft build should be over 170 parts and under 600 parts.

-Cockpit will be required

-Custom Liveries/Camo are and nicely appreciated.
