In the 1960s and 1970s, demand for a multirole fighter rose with the appearance of the MiG-25. The US had come up with a fighter called the F-15 Eagle, whereas the simple islands (idk where you want em to be lmao) had come up with… well… this. Weird looking aircraft that wasn’t that fast but could be heavily armed. It was put into service in 1974 and pilots hated it. Difficult to fly and use in general. It also looked very uhh… ugly. Shoulda just brought MiGs because this is an abomination.
