SR-72 Thunderbird

NOTE: Custom camera 1 is cockpit view.

Originally called the Blackswift, the SR-72 was swiftly renamed the Thunderbird after its first high-speed, low-altitude pass at a demonstration, which resulted in the shattering of every single shatter-able object within a half-mile radius of its flight path, including some very expensive crystal. The inward-canted stabilizers are more of a nod to its heritage than anything else, for with an infrared signature the size of a city and an acoustic signature to match, there's not much stealthy about the Thunderbird. But at a cruising speed of Mach 5 at sea level and Mach 13+ at altitude, it doesn't really matter.

Controls: AG8 to toggle pitch sensitivity.

@Stingray Ah, that makes sense. I, too, find it disappointing if a well-made model doesn't fly well.

@SledDriver yeah i know, but i mean, you created amazing stuff in a fast rate. If i had to dos somethibg like this, at minimum it would take... 10 days? or more.. lol. but its a great advice, and this may help in a future space ship

A real aluminum and steel aircraft actually flys. I test fly SP models on a mobile GUI (both Andriod and iOS) before I upvote. That’s all. @SledDriver

@Z3RO It's just fuselage blocks turned sideways, the smooth appearance is because I'm using lots of very thin blocks which lets me create smooth curves.

@FlyingThings I'd need more than 45 upvotes every day for that to happen, so probably not. But I'm not in this for internet points anyway.

Continue with your builds like that and you will have 100k points by the end of this year.

@Stingray Thanks. I'm curious though, why the quote marks around fly?

Interesting build. Stable model behavior, even on my old iPad Pro tablet. Fun to “fly”!

@Aarons123 I'm going to make one, because someone challenged me to, but beyond that, I'm not really interested in making copies of someone else's designs.

@Aarons123 Well, this is not really a replica. I haven't made a true replica yet.

Is this the first replica you’ve made with the sideways fuselage technique? I like it BTW :D
