Rip-off of the F-16. I could probably call it a replica tho
This aircraft was designed primarily for computers; overcorrection and loss of control is almost entirely unavoidable on mobile.
I've had a lot of trouble with the flight performance. You'll need to avoid making large control inputs. I'd appreciate it if anyone could share some tips on how to improve it. Using trim and managing your power, you can pull some crazy high AOA crap at low speeds. Hopefully I'll expand on that in a later upload. This tendency to pull high AOA crap (for lack of a better term) makes landing difficult. Small control inputs, an approach speed of around 195-220 mph, throttle around 10-25, and a shallow descent angle should keep those fragile air force landing gears from breaking. For takeoff, I use ~35% throttle and gently pitch up at around 190 mph. Quick or small rudder inputs will be needed to keep the aircraft centered on the runway. If you want to turn faster in the air, increase your power. Avoid using afterburner in clean configuration unless accelerating or turning, it does a little wiggle wiggle when going supersonic.
I've made up for the lack of smooth control with a custom gunsight, and it is very fun against drones in the gun exercise.
Cons:
- reduced visibility
- distraction
- relatively inaccurate
- reduced situational awareness
- does not help aim
Pros:
Ag1 drogue chute
Ag2 Canopy
Ag3 Gunsight
Ag6 Jettison belly and close in pylons
Ag7 Jettison wing tip and far pylons
VTOL Flaps
Trim Trim (helps with getting that 40* AOA)
