History: In late 1944, the Japanese empire needed an aircraft capable of reliably bombing American air bases at night, so Mitsubishi was called in to create an aircraft to fit the role. Only three were made and each A11M2 only saw three combat missions, which were mostly successful (one was shot down on its return journey). The remaining two were pulled from service and scrapped to make other aircraft.
