IvanAircrafts YAK-3.5A
I legit for once don’t have any special directions
Stolen from Wikipedia: “The Yakovlev Yak-3 was a single-engine single-seat World War 2 Soviet front line fighter aircraft. Robust and easy to maintain, it was much liked by pilots and ground crew alike. It was one of the smallest and lightest major combat fighters fielded by any combatant during the war. Its high power-to-weight ratio gave it excellent performance. It proved a formidable dogfighter. Marcel Albert, World War II French ace, who flew the Yak-3 in USSR with the Normandie-Niémen Group, considered it a superior aircraft when compared to the P-51D Mustang and the Supermarine Spitfire. Before the end of the war it was flown by Polish Air Forces and after the war ended, it was flown by the Yugoslav Air Forces.”
(This is based heavily off the YAK-3 body and design if you couldn’t already tell, now for made up lore)
The IvanAircraft Co. YAK-3.5A was Soviet engineering attempt to replicate and improve upon the American P-51 Mustang design. the YAK-3.5 managed to surpass it’s influencer in cruising at top speed, and general flying. Though it also had some of the same flaws. Regardless, the debut of this plane happened shortly after the debut of the P-51, and totally not because of Soviet spies working on the program for the P-51. Regardless, a squad of YAK-3.5A was considered a force to be reckoned with all the same.
I was bored, felt like making a Soviet plane, didn’t make the tail fully right, and now we got this. Wonderful.
