When I set about creating the original Polecat I envisioned a high speed pursuit fighter with enough speed to close with enemy bomber formations and enough firepower to bring them down while retaining enough agility to deal with any escorting fighters. The original design parameters had me try a T3000 but while that performed well I wanted a little better performance. The Mk III Polecat out performs the original in every way. I added 2x 20mm nose mounted cannons to compliment the 4x20mm wing mounted cannons and a few other minor tweaks as well. It flies very well in game.
