Auto Credit Based on Jundroo's P-51 Mustang

The 1954 Sparrow N-23, Affectionately called “Screamer” for the sound of it’s jet engines, was a naval-based recon/torpedo bomber aircraft, designed for medium-high range applications and high altitudes. It’s large array of wing mounted machine guns makes it capable of defending itself against air targets, but it’s heavily limited maneuverability makes it’s use as a fighter almost impossible. This lack of maneuverability was the very reason why this plane was so unpopular, on selling 20,000 units in total before production was stopped in 1962, in favor of more menuverable fighters. This craft is credited with being the predessecsor to the 7X.
