36.9k IntoTheDesignatedGridZone  2.3 years ago

The Yae Miko/Object 156 was a Japanese troop transport aircraft, analogous to the Douglas Skytrain and the Junkers Ju 52/3m.

The Yae Miko is the first aircraft to be added under the Compilation of Simplified Generic Aircraft, and as the first cargo aircraft as well.

II. Lore

Fictional
The Kyushu bureau developed the Miko in late-1943 and entered Japanese service at early-1945, with eleven aircraft ordered.
All aircraft but one were confiscated by United States authorities following the surrender of Japan, six going to the USAF, assessing her capabilities against the C-47 and the C-46. Of the three aircraft, the Miko was superior than the two and was designated the YC-92 (fictional), and the other four went to commercial airliners.
Seven aircraft survives up to this date.
