Entering service with the French Armee de l'Aire in 2029, the Rodeur ('Prowler') was designed as a 5th generation successor to the Rafale multirole fighter, as capable as the F-35 but cheaper and more reliable. Some armament is stored internally to reduce the radar cross-section of the aircraft, while a powerful engine featuring thrust vectoring gives it supercruise, STOL and supermaneuverability capabilities.
