there is only one light on the carrier glide slope indicator@XT1L
they use a version of papi that is suited for use on a carrier @JetFly
@Nerfenthusiast this is dumb. why not just use papi?
yeah carrier landing heavily rely on them@JetFly
@XT1L maybe like I did with PAPI? which actually has 3 positions instead of 5 real has.
Wish we had some sort of “instrumentation” tag for things like this, instead of just the more general “parts” tag.
Huh, this works, definitely could see the red lights when I was low on the glide path at night, if on a mobile, it’s a little hard to see unless you’re fairly close, but that’s no fault of your own. Definitely can sort of make night approaches to the carrier now.
The way this one works is closer to PAPI though, the actual carrier one also use the position of the light to indicate the glidepath. but I couldn’t figure out yet how to create something similar in SP @JetFly
Yeah.

Not the exact same thing as PAPI but basically doing the same job. @JetFly
@Nerfenthusiast and they're real?
a carrier version of them @JetFly
so this is kinda like papi lights?
