Welcome to this corona-free-online-class on how to build "better" ship parts.

tutorial 1: the turret.

step 1
place a rotator in the ship hull slightly visable

step 2
look up some turret designs if you do not have any inspiration or and place some blocks on the rotator. not on the hull itself.

step 3
build on the side of the turret another rotator and build the gun mount on that rotator.

step 4
go into the part movement editor and move alle the gun mount parts to the middle of the turret

step 5
decorate the turret with some optics, AA guns or other parts

tutorial 2: torpedo tube

step 1
place a rotator in the ship hull slightly visable

step 2
make a base on the rotator, it can be an open torpedo turret or a closed one

step 3
make the torpedo tubes, it is usefull to make them 0.6 in diameter because the torpedoes are slightly less big than 0.6. you can finish the tubes with some parts as a rounded end and a sloped tip. you can also place the tubes in an angle

step 4/5
to place the torpedoes you must first place them like shown in the build or screenshot, and then move them into place with the movement editor. be aware the you also must move the detachers somewhere on the build as well

tutorial 3: the bridge/structures

step 1/4
place some blocks on the deck, shap them in an sort of aerodynamic way to align them with the turrets, also make some space for lower or extra decks for aa mounts

step 5
add the bridge and with that some windows , add a radar and/or antenna, also add the AA with some extra platforms. instead of aa you also can add search lights or more radar dishes, make it you own

i hope these tutorials can come in usefull for your further ship design
