A B-208B flying over wright - 1982
the B-208 series of aircraft is one of North Americans bangers. the aircraft has been in so many wars, it has too many variants (they will be releasing over the span of my attention span for this.

history

the B-208 was created as late as 1943. the YB-157 was the original prototype aircraft made back in 1943. the military branches were not interested in the YB-157 so it sat until the Korean war. the air force in desperate need for aircraft that can fly in day time bombing missions. so remember the YB-157 from the previous aircraft? yeah, well they decided to contract North American Aviation to make the production model of the YB-157. and so the B-208 was made, it fought on though the Korean war with multiple variants made (most were the A model). then in the Vietnam war, the aging fleet were upgraded (most B models).
once the Vietnam war ended turboprops were added to 29% of the B-208 fleet.
in 1984 90% of the B-208 fleet were retired and enter scrapped or sent to the global arms market as surplus. many nations acquired B-208s. at this point the history of the B-208 becomes fuzzy. little is really known about the late life's of many surplus B-208s.
later that same year most American B-208s were upgraded to jets. in 1986 the aircraft remaining in the Air Force B-208 fleet were found to contain asbestos as insolation.
swiftly any remaining B-208s regardless of their model were retired and scrapped. and thus, 2 original A models remain. the aircraft were sent to museums. currently there are many B-208s in museums around the world

current variants

during the long life of the B-208 fleet many were converted into random variants like troop transports and civilian aircraft.

final thoughts

compared to most of my aircraft, this is really advanced.
i dont really have any issues with the plane besides it is way too simple.

@TheUltimatePlaneLover want some old bombers that 100% don't have asbestos in them, they could be useful in the M-war II
