24th January 2021 RJ Halocene B1 9.8
Introduction
As the war in Europe was coming to an end, the war in the pacific was still raging, the Fleet Air Arm needed an aircraft that could fullfil both the attack/ bomber and heavy fighter roles rather than relying on loaned American aircraft etc.
As luck would have it German research had fallen into the Allies hands which included details of a forward swept wing aircraft (Junkers Ju287), the forward swept wing allowed for slower takeoff and landing speeds with a much more favourable stall characteristic but could also cope with high speeds.
RJ used this blueprint as the basis of this design but rather than risk new jet engine technology in an untested environment the venerable RR Merlin was choosen as the powerplant. This aircraft was comparable in nature to the DH Mosquito but able to operate successfully from aircraft carriers. The slow landing speed (120ish kts in the game) allows the aircraft to land and stop without the need for an arrestor hook (may be added in a later version).
Controls
AG1 = start the engines
AG2 = open bomb bay / arm torpedos
AG6 = fold wings
AG7 = Open engine inspection hatches
VTOL dn = flaps
Pictures
USS tiny - takeoff is possible if difficult (Actual aircraft carriers where larger than this anyway), use full flap, rudder to the left slightly on takeoff run, gear up as soon as lift off is achieved and full back on the stick =)
Wings folded, engine inspection hatches open
Torp run incoming
Information / Features
Tapered wing
Suspension on rear undercarriage (it actually worked...)
Internal bomb bay
Detailed engines with inspection hatches

4no. 20mm Aden Cannon
Wingloading and overall weight comparable to DH Mosquito etc.

@RamboJutter Fair enough, whatever suits yourself is whats best :)
@Kangy nah too many parts and v boring :)
You gotta do cockpits now lol it'd improve all of your builds by a far margin :)
Nice work man
@handitover man i aint starting argument.
@AirCrashInvestigationFLR dam u sound like you lost an argument
@handitover Well i just forgot, goodbye.
@AirCrashInvestigationFLR dont we all lol
you should check the stats before you download
@handitover I don't wanna start a fight. And i didn't even check the part count.
@AirCrashInvestigationFLR it was your fault to download a creation with a frick ton of parts
@RamboJutter ah yes. I see the resemblance.
@AvalonIndustries your not far wrong, google Ju-287, thats the basis of the design before i added my own twists =)
@RamboJutter Well it is a new phone, but 3 Gigabytes Random Access Memory.
@Liquidfox01 good fun isn't it :) thanks for your upvote and comment
@AirCrashInvestigationFLR wow, must be an old phone... mine runs this without an issue and its nearly 4 years old...
Thanks to 1000 parts. My phone heated so much i had to turn it off.
yo wut
Reminds me of an Mosquito with a Ju-88.
Fun to fly, stable, even at 1100+ parts doesn't kill my phone
These builds are just cool as frick, but LG needs detail. Anyways it’s really nice
