History: Designed as a medium/heavy ground attack/CAS aircraft, the Gotha Go-449 Schwerer Kampfer Projekt II was fast, agile, and could pack a punch. It had twin 30mm MK.103 cannons as well as an internal load of 500kg of bombs (the proposed project would house two 250kg bombs). It had a crew of two, which was small for the size of the aircraft, thus limiting its potential. The design never left the drawing board, though a wooden mockup of the plane had been planned to be made the day after Germany surrendered.
