The Saab JAS 39 Gripen is a light single-engine supersonic multirole fighter aircraft developed by Saab AB Aerospace and Defense. The Gripen has a delta-canard wing configuration with relaxed stabilisation and fly-by-wire. Later aircraft are fully NATO compatible. As of 2020, more than 271 Gripens of all models, A to F, have been delivered.[Nb 2]
